The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development in September 2015.

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country on various parameters. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practice,” “Graduation Outcome,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.

Indian Institute of Management Ranchi has been ranked at the 15th position in the NIRF India Rankings 2022 under the Management category.
